Parker Cracks Lions 53-Man Roster

According to Lions.com, former Bruin and Kansas State star A.J. Parker has made the Lions 53-man roster. Tuesday afternoon was the deadline for teams to submit their rosters ahead of opening games on September 12.
While it is possible that some shuffling could take place it is unlikely that Parker’s status will change. Detroit parted ways with two other defensive backs that had seen time at nickel corner. Parker is one of four undrafted free agents to crack the Lions roster in the secondary. Parker shined in the preseason and could be in line for a start as the fifth defensive back when Detroit opens the season against San Francisco.
Parker signed with the Lions in May after not being selected in the NFL Draft. He was a 2016 Bartlesville High School graduate.
