Lehman Wins Tourney - Shot at PGA Championship

A Bartlesville native golfer is going to have a shot at playing in a US Major next year.
Former Bartlesville Bruin, Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagle and current Hillcrest Country Club pro Andrew Lehman won the South Central Assistants PGA Championship. Because of the victory, Lehman has qualified for a tournament in November, which could lead to a PGA Championship qualification.
Lehman explains the situation.
The national tournament will be Nov. 11-14 with the winner qualifying for the PGA Championship next year at Southern Hills in Tulsa.
The event is for associates in the PGA. The tournament Lehman won was at Oak Tree in Edmond. Lehman has been a professional at Hillcrest for a couple years since graduation.
Lehman talks about what he will be doing over the next couple months to prepare.
The National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship will take place at Wanamaker Course Port St. Lucie, Florida.
