Doggers Lose Overtime Thriller at Salina

Dewey had a great chance to pick up its second win of the year, but the Bulldoggers fell just short on a chilly Friday evening in east-central Oklahoma.
Salina topped Dewey 20-14 in overtime.
It was the Dogger defense that kept Dewey in the game down the stretch. They had three interceptions in the fourth quarter in order to keep the scored tied at 14. Carson Johnson got one of the picks deep inside Dewey’s own territory.
But the Dogger offense couldn’t get much going all night.
In overtime Dewey had the first possesion, and went four and out. With the second-possession, Salina pulled its quarterback and ran three direct snaps to the tailback who ran it in for a victory on third-down.
QB Trenton Muninger passed for a touchdown and ran for a score.
Dewey falls to 1-8 on the year. Doggers will wrap up their season at home against Kansas in another winnable one on Friday
