Rena Cook, a TEDx speaker, author, coach and Professor Emerita, will be the next guest speaker for the Bartlesville Chamber’s upcoming Women in Business event.

Cook's presentation is titled, "Put Your Best Voice Forward and Drive Your Bottom Line."

Cook is an in-demand speaker specializing in entertaining, interactive and informative presentations for large, medium or small groups. She is founder and CEO of Vocal Authority, a training consultancy for business professionals who want to speak and present in more compelling and authentic ways. She is the author of four books on voice, including Empower your Voice: For Women in Business, Politics and Life; and Her Voice in Law.

Cook has an MA from London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama; an MFA in Directing; and an MA in Guidance and Counselling. Coming from the theatre world and involved in actor training for thirty years, she provides a practical and tangible process for making lasting changes in communication style to tame performance anxiety, increase power, build presence, gravitas and authentic authority. Her guilty pleasure is voicing video games and animation.

The Women in Business function will be held at Hillcrest Country Club, 1901 Price Road, on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost per person is $25. This cost includes lunch.
