News on 6 Meteorologist, Bartlesville Native Passes

A local meteorologist that was proud of his Bartlesville home passes away.

News on 6 announced on Monday that meteorologist Clint Boone passed away on Sunday, Feb. 6. Clint had started with News on 6 in January, but he had worked in the Tulsa television market for many years.

Clint grew up in Bartlesville watching Jim Giles and wanted to be a meteorologist since the 3rd grade. He later graduated from Oklahoma State University and his post graduate meteorology studies were in Denver, Colo. and Mississippi State. He started working as a meteorologist in 1997 and had been covering Tulsa weather since 2011. Clint had also worked in Kansas, Arkansas and Tennessee. Clint’s first internship was actually at News On 6. He also played competitive tennis.

Clint is survived by his mother, Anita; his father, David; his son, Hunter; and daughter, Emily, and two grandchildren.
