OKWU Coach Donnie Bostwick Notches 400th Career Win

Oklahoma Wesleyan head coach Donnie Bostwick put his 400th career win in the books as the Eagles defeated York 79-71 on Monday night. Coach Bostwick reached the milestone thanks to a gritty effort from his team down the stretch.
The Eagles held a slim lead most of the game. Center Jaden Lietzke put the team on his back in the second half scoring 16 of his game-high 20 points after the break. Lietzke did not miss on nine field goal attempts. This big dunk helped OKWU spark the momentum.
The Eagles earned the win despite attempting just one three-pointer the entire second half. Valentin Van Putten was another solid contributor with 13 points and nine rebounds.
For Bostwick this marks another major milestone in his incredible 15-year coaching career. He spoke after the big win.
At 25-2, OKWU has clinched at least a share of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference title. The Eagles can clinch the outright championship with a win over Ottawa on Saturday.
The Lady Eagles were upset 56-46 against a York team that only had one conference win prior. Zariah Tillman was the top scorer with 13 points.
