Boys & Girls Club of Bartlesville will receive a boost in support for area youth thanks to a $15,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.

Arvest local bank president Kim Moyer recently presented the check to Jason Barta, executive director (pictured).

The donation will support the plans for a new Boys and Girls Club building in Dewey, which will be part of Boys and Girls Club of Bartlesville with the same mission of providing youth development programs that impact local young people annually. These programs include character and leadership development, education and career building skills, healthy lifestyles, sports and fitness and the arts.

In a statement, Moyer said:

“It is our honor to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation. The Boys and Girls Club of Bartlesville has impacted countless youth throughout the years, helping boys and girls reach their full potential. With this opportunity to build an additional facility, more youth in Dewey will have the potential to access quality programs closer to home.”

In a statement, Barta said:

“We are so appreciative of the Arvest Foundation and their support of our vision to bring a full-service Boys & Girls Club facility to the kids and families in Dewey.”

The Arvest Foundation seeks to provide funding to grantees who are actively working to create positive change for others. Major areas of focus include: K-12 education, economic development, and enhancing the quality of life throughout the Arvest footprint.
