Realignment has dominated the college football scene recently, and most notably Colorado as of late. It was announced on Wednesday that the Big 12 unanimously approved Colorado’s move to the Big 12, although the Buffaloes had not formally applied to be a part of the conference yet.

That all changed on Thursday, and Colorado’s board of regents officially approved the move for the Buffaloes to return to the Big 12 in 2024. So now, the new Big 12 will contrive of, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Houston, Cincinnati, Colorado, BYU, UCF, Iowa State and TCU.

It was also announced that the Big 12 is trying to add 1-2 more teams outside of Colorado, with those options possibly being open for more Pac-12 schools. The initial rumblings are that it could be the University of Washington, Arizona, or Arizona state.
