OK State Player Named in Gambling Probe

A current Oklahoma State football player is wrapped up in the state of Iowa’s college gambling scandal.
Iowa transfer wide receiver Arland Bruce IV was charged yesterday as a part of a sports gambling investigation.
Bruce IV transferred into Stillwater this past offseason and has not yet played a game for the Cowboys.
According to reports, Bruce reportedly placed bets on 11 games in which he participated in. NCAA rules state that an athlete who places bets on his or her team in any sport faces permanent loss of eligibility.
Oklahoma State issued a statement on Thursday saying “We are aware and are continuing to gather information. We are not to the point of being able to comment yet.”
Bruce caught 19 passes for nearly 200 yards and a touchdown as a sophomore a year ago with the Hawkeyes.
