Former Bartlesville High Bruin defensive back AJ Parker is still vying for a roster spot in the NFL this preseason, and your next chance to watch him is on Saturday.

Parker is in a competition for the San Francisco 49ers nickel cornerback position.

Parker logged three tackles in the 49ers exhibition debut last weekend. San Francisco will host the Denver Broncos on Saturday night at 7:30 in Parker’s second game-ready chance to impress the 49ers.

Parker signed with San Francisco this offseason after his contract with the Detroit Lions expired after the first of the year.

He spent two seasons with the Lions as a part-time starter as a rookie, then mostly in a reserve role and on the Lion’s practice squad in 2022.
