Washington County Commissioners approve two law enforcement agreements during a Monday meeting.

Sheriff Scott Owen told the commissioners about an inter-local agreement that will allow for cooperation between the Bartlesville Police Department and the Sheriff's Office to investigate drug cases throughout Washington County.

The commissioners also approved a memorandum of understanding between the county and Copan Public Schools for a school resource deputy to be on campus during school hours. Sheriff Owen says it is a great way to protect children.

In other business, the commissioners approved a change order for the new Washington County Emergency Management warehouse that is under construction. The change order will allow for the installation of a natural gas line that will act as a back-up for heating the warehouse.

The commissioners will meet again at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 18.
