ConocoPhillips CEO Continues Commitment to Bartlesville

Nathan Thompson
ConocoPhillips Chairman/CEO Ryan Lance says Bartlesville will play an integral part of the company for the next several years.
Lance was the guest speaker during a Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce forum on Tuesday at CityChurch. He says ConocoPhillips is in the process of upgrading all internal systems and with the IT Department, several supply chain positions and many accounting jobs based in Bartlesville, that means good news for the city.
Lance says since ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66 separated into two independent companies, there are no thoughts of ConocoPhillips getting back into refining and marketing.
ConocoPhillips employs approximately 1,200 people at their Bartlesville operations. The company formed in 2002 when Houston-based Conoco merged with Bartlesville-based Phillips Petroleum Company.
In 2011, the company decided to split their exploration and production business from their refining and marketing sector. The new refining and marketing company is now known as Phillips 66.
ConocoPhillips is the largest independent exploration and production company in the United States and one of the largest in the world. The company has operations and activities in 12 countries. It employs approximately 9,700 people worldwide.
