Bartlesville police are investigating a fatality accident that happened Friday afternoon on north Washington Boulevard, killing one person.

Police say the accident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Ohio Avenue. Preliminary investigation results indicate a vehicle travelling southbound on Highway 75 crossed over into the northbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision.

BPD says the fire department and Bartlesville Ambulance arrived on scene and immediately began life-saving efforts. The name of the person who died has not been released.

The Bartlesville Police Serious Accident Investigation Team was called to scene to further investigate the crash. Police say further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
