Nowata Co. Commissioners Discuss Maintenance

The Nowata County Commissioners met for the first time in November on Monday morning at the Nowata County Annex.
The board discussed ongoing courthouse improvements and awarded bids for hot mix/hot lay asphalt and cold patch, and for loading and hauling miscellaneous road materials.
The commissioners also approved a lease agreement for the Nowata County Sheriff's Office and a reimbursement claim for the election board.
In the latest update on the radio tower project enhancing the communication for first responders in the county, District Two Commissioner Brandon Wesson gave an update.
The commissioners also appointed a deputy and will address the resignation of a commissioner secretary in next week's meeting.
The Nowata County Commissioners meet every Monday morning at 9 a.m. at the Nowata County Annex, located at 228 N. Maple St.
