You are invited to the 28th Annual The Good, The Bad, and The Barbecue charity event benefiting Elder Care on Saturday, May 9, 2026, hosted by Robert Hughes and family at the Hughes Ranch. Join us in celebrating with great food, fun, and dancing, and as always, we’ll have our amazing silent and live auctions.

Appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Event Chair Sarah Freeman said, "It's a blast. A lot of work, but it's a lot of work. but we are the team. We have the committee who is out asking for donations for the live and silent auction." She added, "Elder Care is one of those things that really is so impactful to Bartlesville. And some people may not see it every day, but even if you aren't a senior that's using this new program to help with Medicare or physical therapy, daybreak, all the different services, you probably work with someone whose parents might be affected, or they have someone that they care for who is also being helped by Elder Care."

Also appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION  from Elder Care was Development Director Michael Colaw. Michael said there will be some fun activities at the event such as the Cornhole Whiskey Pole. He said, "if you make one or two or three in, you get a pull, a brown bag, and it's you're taking home a bottle of whiskey."

The Good, The Bad and BBQ is catered by Dink's catering. For an extra cost, you may attend the patron party, which is the pre-party. The event is full of fantastic foods. After the auction and live and silent auctions, there's live music and dancing, and it's just a good party and it benefits Elder Care.
