AG Gentner Drummond Running for Governor

Current Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond is running for Governor. Appearing on KWON Radio's COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Drummond cited his seven grandchildren, with more on the way, as the primary "compelling reason" for his continued public service.
Gentner Drummond talked about his track record as Attorney General highighting the crackdown on illegal marijuana grows. He said his office was responsible for the closure of 10,600 illegal marijuana grow facilities linked to Chinese and Mexican cartels. He said, "Billions of dollars in black market products and thousands of pounds of fentanyl have been now removed from Oklahoma streets."
A.G. Drummond also spoke about the Robert Morris case. This was a high-profile conviction of Dallas mega-church founder Robert Morris for a decades-old crime, highlighting Drummond’s use of constitutional "tolling" to bypass statutes of limitations for those who flee the state.
Drummond is a fifth-generation Osage County resident who was legally emancipated at 14 to run his own ranch. He is a former Air Force fighter pilot (Gulf War veteran) and attorney. Drummond is the founder/owner of Blue Sky Bank, a law firm, and wireless retail services, positioning himself as a businessman rather than a career politician.
Gubenatiorial candidate Drummond criticized the current administration’s "closed door" policy toward tribes. He proposes viewing the "Big Three" (Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw) as Fortune 500-level economic partners with a focus on infrastructure, aerospace, and military contracting collaboration.
He also addressed Oklahoma’s low national rankings (currently near 50th). He wants to ocus on "readiness" for 2–4 year olds and reading proficiency by 3rd grade.Drimmond also sees a great value in Career Tech centers as an alternative to college debt. This elevates the status of trades (plumbers, welders, CDL drivers) to fill the state's labor deficiency.
Gentner Drummond appealed to Washington and Osage County voters to support a "local candidate.
