Dewey City Council to Meet Tonight

The Dewey City Council will hold its regular meeting on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers at Dewey City Hall, 411 E. Don Tyler. The agenda includes the oath of office for newly elected officials and recognition of outgoing Mayor Tom Hays. Council members will also consider approval of minutes from the April 20 meeting, approve claims, and discuss updates to Arvest Bank account information. Additional items include potential action on an agreement with Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc. for engineering services related to water system improvements.
The meeting will also allow for citizen input, with individuals given up to three minutes to address the council on items not listed on the agenda. Following the city council meeting, the Dewey Public Works Authority will convene, with a similar agenda that includes administering oaths of office, approving prior meeting minutes and claims, and addressing any new business. Both meetings will include opportunities for comments from officials and staff before adjournment.
