The Washington County Health Department will host a free Car Seat Safety Check Event on Tuesday, June 16, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Central Middle School in Bartlesville. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available to inspect car seats, verify proper installation, answer safety questions, and provide education to families. A limited number of car seats will also be available for qualifying families. Health officials say motor vehicle crashes remain a leading cause of injury for children, and the event is designed to help ensure young passengers are traveling as safely as possible.
