Youth and Family Services of Washington Co., Inc. is celebrating 50 years of serving local families with a community celebration and fundraiser on June 27. The Glow 5K and Fun Run kicks off an evening of food, music, and family activities from 7 to 11 p.m., all aimed at helping build a new Emergency Youth Shelter for children in crisis.

The glow-themed event will feature food and drink trucks, a kids zone with face painting and bounce houses, an adult hangout area with music and beverages, and plenty of community fellowship. Organizers say the night is a chance to celebrate the organization’s history since 1976 while raising support for the next chapter of helping local youth. The event is sponsored by Osage Casino Hotel.
