The Nowata County Commissioners held a regular meeting Monday morning at the Nowata County Annex.
Following the severe storms on Saturday, the commissioners discussed damage assessment in regards to federal and state funding for relief.

The threshold of damage costs the county must meet to receive additional funding is $45,294.
The commissioners also approved a damage statement for district one for federal emergency relief with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT).
In other business, the board approved a lease purchase agreement for district two, membership dues for the board's annual Grand Gateway membership and with the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma (ACCO), appointed two deputies and approved on-call professional services with Guy Engineering for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
The Nowata County Commissioners meet every Monday morning at 9 a.m. at the Nowata County Annex Meeting Room, located at 228 N. Maple St. in downtown Nowata.
