Pawhuska city council member Rodger Milleson has been removed from his position as Ward Four councilor. This comes after he failed to attend city council meetings in June and July.

A section of the Pawhuska charter states that if the mayor or any other councilman shall be absent from all the meetings of the council, regular and special, held within any period of two consecutive calendar months, he shall thereupon cease to hold office.

Milleson goes through the process of how he found out he was being removed and owns the fact that he violated the city charter.

The last meeting Milleson attended was in May. His term expires in 2027.

City Attorney Stephanie Clifton was unavailable for comment.
