The Alco Discount and Retail Store in Pawhuska will be forced to close by the end of the year..  The parent company of the Alco stores, located in Dallas, Texas, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October of this year. The United States Bankruptcy Court has approved an order requiring all Alco store locations to close and terminate their operations to satisfy their creditors..  Nearly 30 employees are expected to  lose their jobs at the Pawhuska location which opened in the 1990's.
