OKWU Baseball Sweeps Dallas Christian Series

Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles baseball team completed a two-game sweep Tuesday afternoon with a 10-5 victory at Dallas Christian.  The Eagles scored five of their 10 runs in the top of the fifth inning.  Although Dallas Christian out hit OKWU 10-9, they committed four errors.  Jeffery Deavenport got the pitching win for OKWU.  In over seven innings of work, Deavenport gave up four runs on six hits, walked one, and struck out three Dallas Christian batters.  Austin Murphy had a huge day at the plate, goint 2 for 4 with a homerun, a double, and 3 RBI's.  Mason Stooky went 2 for 4 with a double and Gunner Joyce went 2 for 3.  Avery Flores, Will Price, and John Davenport each got a hit. 

The Eagles are now 19-6 overall this season and will return to Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference play this Friday and Saturday when they will play at McPherson, Kansas to take on Central Christian College.  OKWU is 2-2 in the MCAC.
