Severe Weather is in the air and if you haven't done your storm season preparation yet, you better hurry. The Red Cross has some guidelines to follow: have a plan in place for each household member on where to go and what to do. Have an emergency kit prepared with each members medications, drinking water, a flashlight, a battery operated radio, important papers and other items necessary for three days. If you have pets, don't forget to have a plan in place for them. Other things to do include having as set place to meet if you get separated.

If your community has experienced a disaster, register on the American Red Cross Safe and Well Website: https://safeandwell.communityos.org/cms/index.php You can also register by phone at 1-800-RED CROSS. If you're registered, your family and friends have a place to check to make sure you're safe.
