The Bartlesville Police Department is investigating an incident where several gun shots were fired in a local shopping center parking lot Wednesday night.

According to Police Captain Jay Hastings, Bartlesville Police responded at about 8:15 Wednesday night to the call of shots fired in a shopping center parking lot located in the 3100 block of se Frank Phillips.

Hastings reports that witnesses on scene say 10 to 15 shots were fired across the parking lot.  That sent several people running for cover. Police later located a small white four door car on North Queenstown Street which had damage from gun fire during the incident. The occupants of the vehicle apparently were involved in a disturbance at the Travelers motel prior to the incident and were the apparent target of the gun fire. Hastings says it appears that no one was injured in the incident.

Investigators were searching the area Thursday morning for more evidence and identifying all the people involved. If you witnessed the incident and you can provide information to help the investigation please call the Bartlesville Police Department's Detective Division at 918-338-4015.   If you prefer to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 918-336-(Clue) 2583.
