On the Agenda for this weeks meeting of the Osage County Board of County Commissioners was the return of VIP Technology Services. Several weeks ago representatives from VIP Technology Services requested permission to conduct an audit of the City Hall and County Services phone service bills to determine if their company could provide a lower quote.

This week, representatives Rassan Hines and Chris Leffingwell returned and provided the commissioners with a quote more than $2,800 less per month for telephone services.

The commissioners did not take action on the item so they could communicate with all of the county departments and legal services, the item will be addressed at a later date.

During citizens input, county resident, Kurt Langenhahn requested assistance from the commissioners and the county regarding an issue of poisoning and pollution on his property from discarded trash and food products from patrons of the Osage Casino.

Langenhahn said patrons are discarding Styrofoam containers with food waste along the sides of the road after leaving the casino. The containers are frequently mowed over sending pulped debris airborne and downstream onto Langenhahn's property, polluting and poisoning his ponds and water supply.

The commissioners acknowledged the problem and said they would address the issue.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of County Commissioners will be Monday, May 4th at 10 am.
