After being amended several times, shuffled back and forth between Senate and House committees several more times and passing by a marginal 33-11 vote in the Senate, Senate Bill 411 was signed into law by Governor Mary Fallin last week. Senate Bill 411 creates a CDL pilot program that will allow companies to use private instructors and examiners to quickly train and fill open positions thus creating more jobs and skilled workers to fill them. The Department of Public Safety will create the curriculum and employers will pay a fee to the state in order to use the program.
