Motion Hearing Set for Bartlesville Man Facing Murder Charges

Two first degree murder and one count each of kidnapping, assault and battery with a deadly weapon and attempted arson first degree are the charges against Steven Lee Adair. He has been in the Washington County Jail since September 2014, charged in the deaths of his wife, Crystal Lee Adair and his stepson, 23-year-old Charles Edward Lee. Adair is also charged with the attempted stabbing of Crystal's then 15-year-old daughter and setting the family home on fire. The teen was able to escape and notify the police.
Adair was in court on Tuesday of this week for formal arraignment. His attorneys made a motion requesting the court provide facilities for the defense team to meet with the defendant in a confidential manner. A hearing on the motion is scheduled for July 29th. A disposition status hearing is scheduled for September 22nd. Adair has yet to be formally arraigned on any of the charges.
