BHS Hoops Celebrates Seniors

 

Bartlesville High had its boys and girl’s teams fall at home to Union, as the Lady Redskins and Redskins walked out of Bartlesville’s senior night with two wins.

For the ladies, BHS fell to Union 53-40. The Lady Bruins had trouble with turnovers, tallying 22 on the evening, which allowed Union opportunities in transition to get easy buckets.

Chloe Martin again was the leading scoring, she had 19 on the night, including this bucket.

Martin, Lydia Knollmeyer, Mary Cone and Elise Cone all celebrated senior night for the BHS girls.

Meanwhile the Bruin guys played well in the first half against No. 8 Union.

The Redskins pulled away, beating BHS 58-35. It was again scoring droughts that cost the Bruins. Bartlesville did not score for six minutes in the second quarter, which allowed Union to take a lead.

BHS did battle back, this steal and bucket just before half got the Bruins within four at the break.

The Bartlesville boys had the final home game for Shane Simpson, LP Smith and Chris Ward.

The Lady Bruins drop to 6-15, the Bruin guys are 1-20.

Both BHS teams will wrap up the regular season on Friday at Owasso.
