BHS to Resume Varsity Athletics Amid Walkout

 

Bartlesville High will resume playing varsity athletics on Tuesday despite the school walkout continuing across the state.

It appears that most schools will continue playing varsity events as the walkout continues. Bartlesville High Athletics released this statement on Monday afternoon: 

"During the duration of the teacher walkout we will compete in varsity athletics only, starting on Tuesday. The teams may practice using the facilities after 3:00 PM each day if they do not have an athletic event scheduled.”

BHS will not compete in junior varsity events going forward, as long as the walkout is still happening.

It will likely be a day-to-day situation.
