Bartlesville High volleyball will start its journey in the postseason with a tough draw, as BHS will face host-club Broken Arrow in the opening round of the BA Regional on Tuesday.

Broken Arrow is one of the best teams in the state, with the Lady Tigers standing at 28-2. They have been ranked as the No. 1 team in 6A for the better part of the year.

The Lady Bruins had played BA one other time this year, it was a three-sets-to-none loss back on October 1. Regardless of the result today, Bartlesville’s turnaround will be the story of Jenn Ward’s first season as head coach. Ward says that the team playing together was key in its recent success.

Bartlesville started the season at 0-8. The Lady Bruins have been 9-7 since Sept. 10.

The match against Broken Arrow starts at 4:30 PM on Tuesday.
