Bruin Baseball Begins Regionals

Bartlesville High baseball begins its play in 6A Regionals on Wednesday, as the Bruins will play two games at Union High School.

BHS will face Sapulpa first at 1:30 PM.

Bartlesville has put together one of its more complete seasons in recent memory, with BHS winning more than 20 games for the first time in five years.

Bartlesville should be familiar with the four teams at the Regional. It has played four games combined against Sapulpa, Union and Putnam City West.

Head coach Cody Price talks about the Bruins familiarity with its opponents this weekend.

Bartlesville lost a close game with the Chieftains during their only previous matchup, a 5-2 Sapulpa win during the Bruin Classic in late March.

The first game of the Regional will be a vital one. If BHS is unable to win game one, it would have to win four games in a row to take the Regional championship.

Winner of the four-team event goes to state. We will have the 1:30 matchup with Sapulpa on the radio, on Sports Talk 1500 AM – 99.1 FM – KPGM. You can also listen on BartlesvilleRadio.com and the Bartlesville Radio App, which is available for free on iTunes and Google Play.

UNION REGIONAL BRACKET

We will not have KWONTV.com live stream coverage because of the OSSAA's exclusive live-stream contract with the NFHS.

We will also have Bartlesville’s second game on the dial later in the day, as well. If BHS should win, the 4:00 matchup vs. the winner of Union - PC West will also air on 1500 AM and 99.1 FM - KPGM.

If BHS loses, we will have the 6:30 game on KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
