Bruin Basketball Begins on Saturday

It is the first game-week for Bartlesville High boys’ basketball, as the Bruins will head to Duncanville, Texas for the second year in a row for Duncanville Thanksgiving Hoopsfest.

BHS will face South Oak Cluff on Saturday at 11:30 AM in game one of the season.

This is the first of two out-of-state events this calendar year for the Bruins, with the other coming in Columbia, Missouri on Dec. 17.

Frontier Valley Conference and in-state play will begin a week from Friday, a home game on Dec. 2 against Sapulpa.

It will be a different looking offense for Bartlesville this winter, something Bruin Head Coach Clent Stewart says he hopes will get everyone involved.

BHS returns three starters in five-star recruit David Castillo, along with senior guard Aadi Ayyappan and senior forward Dayton McCall. There will be a handful of role players back along with some new faces, as well.

More on Bruin hoops throughout this week.
