Bruin Coaches Preview Sapulpa

Friday night's matchup for Bartlesville High football could be a pivotal one.

The Bruins are trying to snap a three-game losing streak at home to Sapulpa on Friday for homecoming.

The Chieftains come to Custer Stadium after their first loss of the year against Bixby last week 45-0. Wednesday night on the weekly Bruin Coach’s Show, we got a chance to talk with Associate Head coach Jason Munoz, Defensive Coordinator Jason Sport and Offensive Coordinator Cody McDaniel live from Hideaway Pizza.

Sport’s defense has been one of the best stories of the Bartlesville season thus far. The Bruins held Booker T. Washington to under 100 yards of offense for the majority of the game this past week. Sport says putting pressure on the quarterback is a major part of that.

On the offensive side of the ball, tailback DeAndre Young has been the star. He has reeled off nearly 800 yards in his first four games, including seven touchdowns.

Young has always been a huge prospect for Bartlesville football, but has exploded to begin 2018. McDaniel talks about the Bruins running back.
