Bruin Football Ends 2019 on High Note

Bartlesville High exploded offensively for another great scoring performance in a victory over Shawnee on senior night.

The Bruins topped the Wolves 42-14 to end the season on a high note.

The game was all BHS from the get-go.

Bartlesville scored touchdowns on four of its first five possesions to take a 28-0 lead and never look back. Laken Clowdus, a senior playing his final game as a Bruin, may have been the most impressive of them all.

Clowdus finished unofficially with 267 yards, with 62 of them coming on this first Bartlesville score.

Ben Winters was also brilliant in his final game at quarterback for BHS. Winters went 12-18 through the air with 218 yards, 1 touchdown and no interceptions.

Winters also found the endzone with his legs on this quarterback keeper.

Bartlesville scored 27-points or more in five of its last six games of the season. The Bruins gained nearly 435-yards a game over that stretch.

With the win and a Sapulpa loss to Ponca City on Friday night, the Bruins did end up forcing a three-way tie for the final spot in the playoffs out of the east side of 6A-II, but Sapulpa will get in via the district points tiebreaker.

Archived Radio Broadcast of the win. KWONTV.com also has the On-Demand video broadcast to watch for free.

Bartlesville finishes 2019 at 3-7.
