Bruin Hoops Back at It

Bartlesville High returns home on Friday evening, after six days off, as the Lady Bruins and Bruins host Muskogee.

Both BHS clubs are trying to get back on track down the stretch before the playoffs at the end of this month. The Lady Bruins have lost four in a row and six of their last seven. Meanwhile the Bruin guys have lost in 12 straight. Muskogee represents a little of a lighter opponent for Bartlesville. BHS head boy’s coach Clent Stewart talks about the matchup with the Roughers.

The Roughers are 7-9 overall. Muskogee held on to beat Bartlesville 56-54 in overtime during the two team’s first matchup on Dec. 10, which was Muskogee’s first game of the season.

On the girl’s side, the surge of senior Chloe Martin has been an encouraging sign for the final month of the year.

Martin has averaged just shy of 17 points per game over the past six games. She has been in double-figures in eight of her last nine. Her dad, and Lady Bruin head coach, Donnie Martin talks about Bartlesville’s offense of late.

Girl’s tip off at 6:30 with the boy’s to follow around 8:00. You can listen to both those games on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3. You can also watch the twin bill on KWONTV.com.
