Bruin Soccer With Big one at Enid

Bartlesville High soccer gets back after it with a big district double-header at Enid.

Friday's boy’s match between the Bruins and the Plainsmen could very easily decide who makes the playoffs in 6A District 3. Both Enid and Bartlesville are in the middle of a logjam in those standings. The Bruins are winners in three of their last four. Bartlesville head boys’ soccer coach Vladan Glavonic talks about tonight’s matchup.

The only loss since spring break for the Bruins was an overtime defeat at the hands of Bixby, a loss that Glavonic called fluky. Because of that defeat, it puts even more added importance on tonight’s matchup at Enid, and then next week’s match against Stillwater.

The Bruins are 1-1 in district play, and will likely need four wins in order to qualify for the playoffs.

Bartlesville was a playoff team a year ago in boys’ soccer.
