Bartlesville High baseball had possibly its best win of the season on Monday night, as the Bruins knocked off Stillwater on the road to begin a two-game District set.

BHS topped the Pioneers 4-1 in a contest highlighted by Bartlesville's clutch hits and defensive plays.

William Parsley shined on the mound, making his second District start, Parsley threw 5.2 innings of one-run baseball. He gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out two. Jakob Hall came in and got the final four outs on the mound.

The biggest hit of the game came from Braeden Winters, the Bruin senior hit a two-run homer, his fourth of the year, with two outs in the third, in what would end up being the game-winning run.

BHS also got runs in the top of the second and the sixth. Bruin second basemen Zeb Henry made a highlight reel play in the field.

Henry caught ball in shallow right and gunned a Stillwater runner out at the plate in the bottom of the second.

The win puts the Bruins one game back of Stillwater for third place in 6A-4. Bartlesville is 20-8 overall, 8-5 in District play. BHS will host the Pioneers looking for the sweep on Tuesday evening, a game which has been moved to 5:00 from Rigdon Field.

We will join the contest in progress on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3 around 5:30. We will have it in its entirety on KWONTV.com.
