Bruins Face Booker T at Custer Stadium

Bartlesville football is still trying to get on the board with a victory, as the Bruins host the always tough Booker T. Washington Hornets on Friday night.

The Bruins have been a play or two away from being 2-1, but an 0-3 record out of the gate has caused BHS to learn some lessons in non-district play. Bartlesville head coach Jason Sport says it’s better to get some of those things out of the way early.

Booker T. comes into Custer Stadium at 1-2, but the Hornets are better than their record would indicate. Early injuries to their quarterback and games against big schools in Arkansas gave Booker T. its two losses early on. The Hornets are rested up coming off a bye-week, and they are loaded with NCAA DI talent. Sport says playing a program of Booker T’s quality gives Bartlesville a big opportunity tonight.

The Bruins and Hornets kick at 7:00 PM from Custer Stadium. We will have the contest on the radio for you on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3 with pregame coming at 6:30.

Don’t forget you can watch the game online as well at KWONTV.com. There is a small fee that helps benefit the BHS Athletic Department.
