Bruins Open Season at Claremore

Bartlesville High will start the Harry Wright era of Bruin football on Friday night, as BHS travels to Claremore to take on the Zebras.

This is the fifth straight season Bartlesville has started with a contest against Claremore.

BHS will again be young this fall. The Bruins will start six sophomores . However there are a group of seven seniors, who Bartlesville will lean on their experience.

Wright talks about a few of the Bruin seniors.

This is a game Bartlesville won at the last minute a year ago. BHS went for two from the 15-yard line and got it, topping Claremore 15-14. The Bruin’s coach on that team, Jason Sport, will be on the other sideline as the Zebra’s defensive coordinator on Friday evening.

Wright says he is excited to kick off the season, but wants his club to perform well for many reasons.

We will have the first Bruin game on the radio and live-streamed. Pregame at 6:30 with kickoff at 7:00.

You can listen on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. You can watch on KWONTV.com.
