Bruins Still Getting Better

Congrats to Nowata, Dewey, Pawhuska and Wesleyan Christian on winning games this past weekend. All the wins except for the Mustangs were district victories.

Bartlesville was not quite able to get its first win at home against Booker T. Washington this past Friday. The Bruins fought hard, with multiple chances to tie the game in the third quarter, BHS could not convert down 7-0. Booker T. would score 21 more unanswered in the final 15 minutes of the game to win 28-0. Bartlesville fell to 0-1 in district play. The Bruins have played a pretty brutal schedule to begin 2019 at 0-4, and head coach Jason Sport says his team is getting better.

BHS came within a half-foot of scoring on a fourth down play in the fourth quarter, but fell just short. Bartlesville will have another tough one this coming Friday, as the Bruins will go on the road in district play for the first time at Sapulpa.

A 7:00 PM kick on KWON.
