Bullpups Look To Continue District Streak

 

With last Friday’s 20-8 win over Humboldt the Bullpups of Caney Valley have now won ten consecutive district ballgames. That streak dates back to 2015 after last year’s squad went a perfect 7-0 in district play.

The Bullpups have rebounded nicely after a week two loss to Olpe and have won back-to-back contests to start off district play, outscoring those opponents 67-8. Although his team is rolling right now, Caney Valley head coach Chriss Davis says its full potential has yet to be realized.

The Bullpups have put together good performances on both sides of the ball in this season’s first half, but the defense has jumped out. On average, the Bullpups have limited opponents to just ten points per game so far.

Caney Valley will take on a winless Erie team at home this week as it looks to continue that impressive winning streak.
