Caney Valley baseball is looking to bounce back after a district sweep at the hands of Morrison on Monday. The Trojans are the midst of a three-game losing streak after winning nine of their first ten contests in April.

CV fell 7-1 in the first game—Bryer Kramer had the lone RBI. Game two of the doubleheader was a 7-5 loss for the Trojans. Daniel Barham struck out five in four innings of work on the mound. The talented junior also knocked home two runs.

The Trojans’ regional host chances took a major hit following the district sweep. Morrison sits directly ahead of Caney Valley in the 2A District 2 standings. Dale is the first place club at 17-2.

Caney Valley stands at 18-8 on the season. The Trojans have a Thursday home game with Oklahoma Union to wrap up the district slate, followed by the regular season finale with Newkirk on April 27.
