College Football Notes 7/17

 

A couple notes on college football – Good news out of Norman on Thursday, as OU reported zero new COVID-19 cases during its latest round of testing.

After recent recoveries, there are now zero active cases of the virus inside the Sooner football team. The club has been back on campus for more than two weeks getting set for 2020.

The Big 12 Conference announced its preseason football teams on Thursday – and there were several Sooner and Cowboy names on the list.

There were four Sooners on offense: Wide reciever Charleston Rambo, place kicker Gabe Brkic, and offensive linemen in Creed Humphrey and Adrian Ealy.

Three Oklahoma State Cowboys on offensive, including tailback Chuba Hubbard, wide receiver Tylan Wallace and offensive lineman Teven Jenkins.  

On defense, OU had defensive lineman Ronnie Perkins, and OK-State had defensive back Kolby Harvell-Peel.

The offensive newcomer of the year was Sooner QB Spencer Rattler, and Hubbard was also named preseason offensive player of the year.
