Defense an Emphasis for Bruin Hoops

Basketball season is just around the corner, and Bartlesville High continues to work hard to get set for the season.

The Bruin guys have been scrimmaging over the past couple of weeks. They will have about two more weeks to get set for their first regular season game in Duncanville, Texas.

The Bruins will also travel to Texarkana the first weekend of December before Oklahoma action starts on Dec. 7 at Jenks.

Offensively BHS should be able to score, the backcourt of David Castillo, Aadhi Ayyappan and Jordan Carter all return from last year.

Bruin head coach Clent Stewart says he has had an emphasis on defense the past few weeks.

There will be some new faces in the Bartlesville lineup, as well.

The Lady Bruins under first-year head coach Justyn Shaw also continue to work. BHS has a scrimmage against Dewey at 4:30 on Tuesday in Dewey.
