Dewey Baseball turned around a tough start with back-to-back victories over Oklahoma Union to get into the win column.

On Monday, junior pitcher Gunner Bankston stole the show in the five-inning victory as he tossed a no-hitter in just his second appearance of the season. Bankston struck out 13 of the 16 hitters he faced and issued just one walk in the run-rule shortened contest.

Bankston went 2-3 with an RBI and also stole four bases in the win.

The Doggers got the job done again on Tuesday with a 14-5 win. The Dewey offense has found a resurgence after scoring just two combined runs in the season’s first three games. All thee of those games were losses.

Dewey will be back on the diamond Thursday with a challenging road matchup with 4A Oolagah-Talala.
