The Dewey Bulldoggers baseball team is approaching the meat of its schedule in the coming days. The Doggers will have a doubleheader against Holland Hall and Tulsa NOAH to start off the Sperry tournament on Friday.

Head coach Geoff Beaty is in his second year at the command of the team. Dewey is 1-4 with some mixed results in the early parts of the season. The Doggers have shown promise with an 11-1 win over Barnsdall but also have 10-0 losses to both Chisholm and Kellyville. Beaty says the team needs to tie it all together.

Corbin Buford is topping the offense with a .625 batting average early on in the year. Brayden Ford has been productive with 5 runs batted in as well. Cole Hancock has notched the only win on the mound so far.

Weather permitting, the Doggers will play at Noon and 2 p.m. from Sperry High School on Friday.
