Dewey Hosts Adair for Senior Night

The Dewey bulldoggers will try for a third consecutive win on Friday night as Adair comes to town. After losing five straight games in mid-January, Dewey has won two straight games for the first time all season.

The Doggers beat up on Nowata, 46-31 in Tuesday’s home victory. Dewey’s domination came from great defense and rebounding.

The Doggers are 5-13 on the season. That record can be a bit deceiving given that seven of those losses have been by eight points or less. Doggers head coach Lance Knight says continued effort will help the team in late-game scenarios.

Hayden Thornton and Colby Henley put up double-digit point totals in Tuesday’s win. The Doggers beat Adair, 60-53, on January 15. Dewey has just three regular season games remaining. Friday also marks senior night for Dewey. Festivities will be held prior to the game.

Radio coverage can be heard on KRIG 104.9 FM. Tipoff for the boy’s game at 8 p.m.
