Doggers Fall on Senior Night

Dewey’s senior night was squandered with a big loss to Adair, 63-42. The Doggers got off to a hot start early with several seniors on the floor. However, the offense couldn’t sustain the momentum for the final three quarters.

Three-balls from Senior’s Jacob Duclose and Noah Groves lifted the offense to an early lead. Groves had another bucket on this and-one that got Dewey going early.

The Doggers led 13-11 after one period. Adair’s offense would catch fire from there as they outscored Dewey 18-7 in the second period to claim the lead. Adair stretched the lead to 20+ points for a bulk of the second half.

Caden Baughn tried to ignite the offense with his team-high 12 points. The Doggers couldn’t avoid turnovers enough to sustain any offensive momentum.

Dewey falls to five 5-14 on the year. The Doggers have three regular season games remaining before heading to Kellyville for the district playoffs on February 15.
