Doggers Host Caney in Regular Season Finale

 

The Dewey Bulldoggers will wrap up what has been a challenging regular season Tuesday with a battle against Caney, Kansas. This will serve as tune-up prior to Dewey’s 3A District playoff game against No. 6 Beggs on Saturday. Dewey head coach Lance Knight talks about the Bullpups.

After a slow start Caney Valley was pushed on to a 12-5 record. Cam Melchiori has been one of the top scorers in Southeast Kansas this season. In one game early this season against Baxter Springs the senior scored 45 points, which broke the school record.

Dewey lost to the Bullpups 72-49 on December 20 in Caney. Dewey is 3-18 habing lost its last nine games. The Doggers regular season finale will get going at 8 p.m. Radio coverage can be heard on KRIG 104.9 FM.
